Prince Harry Has 1 Major Concern for Baby Sussex

http://s9.uploads.ru/t/sNtih.jpg
For Prince Harry, fatherhood is right around the corner. But as comfortable as he is with children, he’s still experiencing some anxiety ahead of his firstborn’s arrival.

The 34-year-old Duke of Sussex, who’s expecting a child with wife Meghan Markle within the next month or so, revealed during a recent roundtable discussion with the Commonwealth young leaders that he’s worried about the kind of world baby Sussex will grow up in.

“As someone who is about to become a father,” the duke explained.  “I am acutely aware of our shared responsibility to make this world more resilient and its inhabitants more accountable for the next generation. The only way to see real progress is not by chance, it’s by change.”

But he’s not the only one with fears about the future. Prince Charles expressed a similar worry last November about the new royal baby during a visit to Ghana to address a group of government and business officials.

He said, “I am about to have another grandchild actually. I suspect quite a few of you may too have grandchildren or will do soon. It does seem to me insanity if we are going to bequeath this completely polluted, damaged and destroyed world to them.”

The 70-year-old Prince of Wales has long been an environmentalist and he’s passed on his passion for conservationism to his son. Prince Harry opened up in the documentary Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70 about the “small habit” he learned from his dad that helps reduce his green footprint. Like all dads, Harry is “obsessed” with making sure there aren’t too many lights on at once.

While he still might worry about the environment, at least he knows he’s doing his part.

How Kate Middleton Incorporated Princess Diana's Earrings Into Her 'Fairy Tale Princess Look'

http://s9.uploads.ru/t/vtCxg.jpg
Kate Middleton made a glamorous appearance as she walked the red carpet at Sunday’s BAFTA event, debuting a pair of vintage earrings that honored her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

Wearing a white grecian-style asymmetrical dress by Alexander McQueen to the annual London film award ceremony, Kate accessorized the look with a pair of diamond and pearl earrings that were once a favorite of Diana’s.

“I thought that the earrings looked stunning, it was a very fairy tale princess look,” British jeweler and pearl specialist Claudia Bradby tells PEOPLE, adding: “The dress gave the earrings space to be beautiful on their own and it was all very feminine.”

http://s7.uploads.ru/t/0WSIV.jpg
The bold earrings, featuring a circular design of diamonds and a single diamond-encrusted pearl were worn by Diana several times in the 1990’s. The last time she wore them (minus the pearls, which are detachable) was to an event at the Royal Albert Hall in 1997, just a few weeks before her death.
http://s7.uploads.ru/t/fc4xK.jpg
Like many of the jewels Kate has inherited from her mother-in-law, she chose to modernize the original design, swapping the pearls worn by Diana (with different diamond detailing) for a smaller more contemporary pearl. “These pearls look more elegant and more in proportion to the diamond element,” says Bradby from her studio in Hampshire, adding: “I am seeing a lot of demand for slightly more drop-style, elegant baroque pearls at the moment.”

Leaving all of her jewelry collection to be shared between her two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry in the hope that their future wives would one day enjoy them, Kate has worn several of Diana’s pearl pieces, including her Collingwood pearl and diamond earrings, a wedding gift from Collingwood jewelers and a pearl bracelet by Nigel Milne that Diana wore with her iconic Catherine Walker & Co ‘Elvis’ look in 1989. In 2017, Kate also wore a pearl and diamond necklace belonging to the Queen but also worn by Diana to attend a dinner celebrating the Queen and Prince Philip‘s 70th wedding anniversary.

As to how she styles her pearl pieces so effortlessly, Bradby whose designs Kate has worn and who attended Kate and William’s royal wedding in 2011 says: “She doesn’t overdo the look and the pearls and dress work beautifully together along with her dark hair – it all felt like perfect pared back elegance.”

Kate Middleton Wears Pink Gucci Dress to Royal Gala at the Victoria & Albert Museum

When it comes to fashion, Kate Middleton definitely plays favorites: Not only does she regularly rewear her past ensembles, but she also turns time and again to British labels like L.K. Bennett, Emilia Wickstead, Erdem, and Alexander McQueen, whom she wore to the BAFTAs this past weekend, to fill out her wardrobe. It came as something of a surprise, then, when the duchess arrived at the 100 Women in Finance gala dinner at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London on Wednesday wearing a Gucci gown.

Unsurprising, of course, was Middleton's impeccable taste. The romantic gown was a floor-length, flowing number in several color-blocked shades of pink, featuring a crisscrossed V-neck bodice, a sheer chiffon overlay, and a plum-colored velvet belt. She accessorized with a small velvet Prada clutch in the same shade as her belt, sparkly silver shoes by Oscar de la Renta, and bejeweled drop earrings. She wore her hair in a half-up style, with the ends softly curled, and sported a peachy blush and lipstick that perfectly coordinated with her Valentine's Day–ready outfit.

This outfit marks only the second time Middleton has worn Gucci for an official royal outing.
The first instance came in the summer of 2017, when she wore a demure black-and-white tweed dress, complete with gold buttons and bright-red detailing at the seams and hems, from the designer. Interestingly enough, that event, a midday gallery tour, also took place at the Victoria & Albert museum—perhaps the stately venue goes especially well with Gucci.

She attended Wednesday night's event solo, as Prince William was busy visiting the Passage, a resource center for the U.K.'s homeless population. The gala's proceeds benefit the "Mentally Healthy Schools" program, an offshoot of Heads Together, the mental health–focused charity launched by William, Kate, and Prince Harry in 2016. The black-tie event was actually the second Heads Together–related appearance Middleton made on Wednesday. Earlier in the day, she attended the Mental Health in Education conference (in a Dolce and Gabbana skirt suit), where she chatted with educators and other professionals about students' mental health in a roundtable discussion and, at the end of her visit, gave a brief, impromptu speech about the importance of prioritizing mental health.

"Over the last eight years of working with charities, I've met some of our leading experts in mental health, addiction, family breakdown, homelessness, and education. They have taught me over and over again that the root cause of so many of today's social problems can be traced right back to the very earliest years of a person's life and often over generations," she said. "I feel so passionately about working together, and being here today has affirmed to me just how much already is being done, so thank you to all of you who are prioritizing the importance of mental health and the importance of childhood development as a whole."

Kate Middleton’s Latest Look Is Giving Us Serious Disney Princess Vibes

http://s8.uploads.ru/t/VJQX3.jpg
Kate Middleton took the whole princess thing very seriously during her latest royal outing.

Today, the Duchess of Cambridge, 37, attended a gala in honor of Mentally Healthy Schools, a program that offers support to parents and children struggling with mental health. While we could easily go on and on about her inspiring speech on the importance of education, we can’t take our eyes off her head-turning princess gown.

http://s5.uploads.ru/t/Fosbg.jpg
WPA Pool/Getty Images

At the event, Middleton wore a pink and cream dress by Gucci. She accessorized the look with sparkly heels, chunky jewelry and a velvet clutch (natch). The duchess styled her hair in a romantic half-up, half-down appearance, and she could pretty much pass as a Disney princess.

The gala took place shortly after Middleton attended a conference for the Royal Foundation’s Mental Health in Education, where she wore a tweed blazer and skirt by Dolce and Gabbana.

While we’re all for a matching set, we can’t deny that Middleton’s princess gown is going down as one of our all-time faves.

The Queen reportedly told Meghan and Harry to fix 'nightmare' family drama

http://sh.uploads.ru/t/R48nM.jpg
The Queen has reportedly asked Harry and Meghan
to shut down her family feud.

As Meghan Markle’s family drama spirals out of control, it’s being claimed that the Queen has told Prince Harry and his wife to put an end to the debacle.

It’s been a rollercoaster month for the 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex, who is seven months pregnant with her first child, with her father releasing a letter she hand wrote to him, begging him to stop victimising her in public.

According to Vanity Fair columnist, Katie Nicholl, the Queen asked Harry and Meghan to shut the whole feud down before Christmas.

“She told them both that the whole thing was becoming a nightmare, and that they should try and sort things out,” a source told Katie.
Meghan’s friends speak out

Last week, five of Meghan Markle’s closest gal pals came out in support of their friend in an interview with People, claiming her father, Thomas Markle was the one who cut the Duchess out of his life, saying he refused to answer her calls after her May 19th wedding.

They said after Thomas posed for paparazzi photos, Harry and Meghan were still hell-bent on getting the former lighting director from Mexico to London in time for the wedding, but when a car pulled up outside his house to take him to the airport, he refused to get in.

“After the wedding she wrote him a letter. She’s like, ‘Dad, I’m so heartbroken. I love you. I have one father. Please stop victimising me through the media so we can repair our relationship’,” one of her friends told the publication.

Her 74-year-old dad is said to have written a lengthy reply, asking Meghan and Harry to pose for a photo with him, to dispel rumours of a rift.

“And she feels like, ‘That’s the opposite of what I’m saying. I’m telling you I don’t want to communicate through the media, and you’re asking me to communicate through the media. Did you hear anything I said?’,” the source continued.
Thomas Markle leaks Meghan’s letter

Just a few days later, Thomas Markle hit back at Meghan’s inner circle, by releasing a five-page letter his daughter had sent him to the Mail on Sunday.

In it, Meghan pleaded with him to stop doing interviews about her life, saying his ‘vicious lies’ made her ‘crumble inside’.

Now it’s being reported that Harry and Meghan
are considering taking legal action against her dad.

“Dad, I’m so heartbroken, I love you,” Meghan started the letter.

“I have one father. Please stop victimising me through the media so we can repair our relationship.

“On a daily basis you fixated and clicked on the lies they were writing about me, especially those manufactured by your other daughter, who I barely know.”

Prince Harry is said to be ‘angry’ and ‘upset’ , with a source telling Vanity Fair he’s fiercely protective of Meghan and can’t understand why his father-in-law, whom he still hasn’t even met, would upset her like this.

It’s also being reported that Meghan is so furious with the 74-year-old, that’s she’s considering taking legal action against him.

Camilla Parker Bowles Attacked Queen Elizabeth In “Drunken” Brawl?

By
Sarah -
February 9, 2019

http://s7.uploads.ru/t/95xHL.jpg
Did Camilla Parker Bowles attack Queen Elizabeth in a “drunken” brawl last month? That’s the absurd claim being made by one of this week’s supermarket tabloids. Gossip Cop can debunk this untrue report about a royal fight. Frankly, the article is so riddled with falsehoods, readers should be able to dismiss this fiction on their own.

The outlandish story is splashed across the cover of this week’s Globe. The piece begins breathlessly about how a “raging” and “drunken” Parker Bowles allegedly “threw a glass of red wine” at Her Majesty, and then “ripped a treasured pearl necklace” off the queen’s throat. In an attempt to lend credence to its wild tale, the outlet asserts its information comes from a “top royal courtier.”

http://s9.uploads.ru/t/KjV3u.jpg
Once she was drunk, claims the source, the queen and her daughter-in-law exchanged heated words before Parker Bowles “leapt to her feet, stormed across the room to where Her Majesty was sitting, and threw her wine right in the queen’s face.” Next, says the seemingly fake tipster, “Camilla grabbed Her Majesty by the throat, ripping away a priceless pearl necklace that once belonged to Queen Victoria.”
http://s5.uploads.ru/t/W38Pm.jpg
The creative writers at the tabloid maintain the highly dramatic “assault” only ended when “Prince Andrew pinned Camilla to the floor” and “burly bodyguards rushed in with guns drawn.” Since that incident, adds a so-called “royal aide, “The buzz around Buckingham Palace indicates Camilla will be confined to her quarters with guards at the door.” The Duchess of Cornwall will “only be allowed out for a few events where she’ll be carefully monitored and controlled,” concludes the questionable source.

http://s8.uploads.ru/t/aUvOI.jpg

It should be obvious the whole story is untrue, and none of these events ever happened. Still, on its cover the tabloid points to an undated photo of the queen with a blood shot left eye, which the magazine refers to as an “eye wound.” Of course, nowhere in the article does the outlet specifically say when this purported “assault” took place or what caused Queen Elizabeth’s red eye.

The reality is the queen has suffered from red eye for various reasons over the years. It happened, for instance, in 2006 while she was in Ireland and again the queen had a visibly bloodshot eye while in Scotland in 2015. Naturally, in neither of those occasions did anyone tie it to Parker Bowles.
Queen Elizabeth II and Meghan Markle like two peas in a pod Image Getty

Also, among the glaring mistakes in the article is when it’s contended Parker Bowles has been “confined to her quarters” at Buckingham Palace. In reality, she and Prince Charles live in Clarence House. And the claim that she will “only be allowed out for a few events” is nonsense and provably wrong since Clarence House’s twitter account is filled with images featuring Parker Bowles at a slew of royal functions since mid-January, which is when it was alleged she would be “monitored.”

On January 16, for example, Parker Bowles attended an event for Scotland’s University of Aberdeen, of which she has served as its chancellor. One week later, she attended a litter pickup with children, followed that afternoon by visiting a center for elderly Jewish people in London. The very next day, Parker Bowles took part in a number of literacy events. And just a few days ago, along with Prince Charles, Parker Bowles went to the UK Supreme Court to commemorate its 10th anniversary. She’s clearly not being “confined” at Buckingham Palace or anywhere else.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh Image GETTY

Still, despite its factual errors, the magazine would like its readers to believe that of all the outlets in the world, including the dogged British press, magically the U.S.-based Globe is the only publication to have reported about Parker Bowles allegedly attacking Queen Elizabeth. The truth, which appears to be a foreign concept to the tabloid, is that its entire tale is a fabrication. None of this, however, surprises Gossip Cop, which has exposed the publication on several occasions for making up stories about the royals.

In December 2018, Gossip Cop busted the same publication when it ran an untrue cover story claiming Queen Elizabeth “collapsed” after Meghan Markle supposedly started a royal family war over Christmas. Among the red flags in that report was the article was printed before the holidays even began. Also, the photo used to illustrate the queen “collapsing” was actually a picture of the queen bending over a tiny bit as she planted a tree in Ireland in 2011.

Before that, Gossip Cop exposed the same the outlet for similarly alleging Queen Elizabeth “collapsed” after Prince Philip was supposedly diagnosed with cancer. The tabloid used the same photos from the tree planting ceremony in Ireland several years ago to give the impression that Her Majesty had keeled over after hearing the (fake) news that Prince Philip was on his deathbed. Much like those made-up articles, the current one about Parker Bowles being in a “drunken” brawl with Queen Elizabeth is also a complete fabrication.

Camilla Parker-Bowles Goes Insane After Kate Middleton Bans Visits To Baby Prince George and Queen Elizabeth Makes Prince William Next King

Camilla Parker-Bowles Goes Insane After Kate Middleton Bans Visits To Baby Prince George and Queen Elizabeth Makes Prince William Next King

Camilla Parker Bowles on Drunken Bender Over Kate Middleton’s Ban on Visiting the Royal Heir and Prince Charles Losing the Crown to Prince William

Just because Camilla Parker Bowles was allowed to visit Prince George at St. Mary’s Hospital the day after his birth it doesn’t mean that she is back in anyone’s good graces. More importantly, Prince Charles’ often despised wife could care less. She barely made it home from the hospital before the raging started. No doubt Camilla was swigging drinks from her travel flask of gin all the way back to the palace. According to the Aug. 12th print edition of GLOBE magazine Camilla’s behavior deteriorated quickly, proving just how evil she really is.

http://s9.uploads.ru/t/R3Pmi.jpg
Apparently Charles’ mistress of 30 years (because let’s face it, THAT is what she is most famous for) lost her mind on Charles and the staff. When Queen Elizabeth saw the outpouring of love and happiness for Kate Middleton and Prince William it convinced her that she was right in putting William on the throne next, bypassing Charles who is technically next in line. Camilla is blaming Baby George for Charles losing the crown and more importantly, costing her the title of Queen.

Hell hath no fury like a drunk and pissed off Camilla and she has spent a great amount of time screaming at Charles to do something and to man up to his mother and to demand the crown that should be rightfully his. We all know Charles will never approach his mother with any authority and also when it comes to running the monarchy he doesn’t really care to have the responsibility anyway!

The only bright spot in this is the fact that Camilla is banned from being anywhere near the baby and that visit to meet him was a one time deal. Thankfully Kate, William and George won’t be subjected to any of her drunken rages right now.

Do you think that William is the best choice for the crown? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!

Prince William Chosen Next King As Queen Elizabeth To Abdicate Within The Year: Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles Revolt – Report

https://www.celebdirtylaundry.com/wp-content/uploads/prince_william_king-3.jpg

It looks like Prince Charles’ latest shenanigans and round of shady behavior were the final straw for Queen Elizabeth. He has been exposed as a full blown tax dodger, dishonestly paying a much lower rate than even his own servants do! Charles is a notorious cheapskate so it’s not too shocking to learn that he would try to skip out on his financial responsibilities to the British government and populace. It was pretty foolish when you think about it though, because if his numbers didn’t jive it was going to be fairly obvious.

Anyway, according to the Aug. 5th print edition of GLOBE Magazine Queen Elizabeth has had it with her eldest son. She recently called Charles and his evil mistress wife Camilla in for tea and the dynamic duo believed it was to celebrate Camilla’s recent birthday. Instead they were greeted by a furious Queen who made it clear that she wasn’t going to let Charles destroy the monarchy with his foolishness. In spite of having been groomed to be the next King he was informed that his son Prince William will be on the throne next.

https://www.celebdirtylaundry.com/wp-content/uploads/camilla_parker_bowles_revolts.jpg
Queen Elizabeth then reportedly spoke with Prince William and Kate Middleton. She has made a plan to abdicate by the time their royal son, Prince George turns one year old. Given an opportunity, Elizabeth wants to officially hand power over to William making it clear that he is her choice to rule the country that she loves so much. One year will give her time to get her affairs in order and to allow William and Kate to adjust to parenting their baby. She believes that Kate has breathed life back into the monarchy and that she and William might be the most popular King and Queen in the history of England.
https://www.celebdirtylaundry.com/wp-content/uploads/queen_elizabeth_abdicates-2.jpg
Do you think Charles cares if he is overlooked for the throne?
I suspect it matters more to Camilla then Charles. I see her losing her mind while Charles instantly makes peace with the decision and pours himself a brandy.

Prince William Describes 'Fear Of Having Newborn' & Kate Says She Was 'Naive'

Prince William's busy week of royal engagements saw the duke opening up about his own family life, and what it's like looking after a newborn baby.

While visiting the Future Men Fathers' Development Programme at the Abbey Centre in London on Thursday, William put in an appearance at a Future Dads session. The prince was honest and open about his own experience with fatherhood, and the complicated emotions that go along with it.

According to People, he told the group of expectant fathers, "The fear of having a newborn baby, that’s very vulnerable and that’s what you spend most of your time worrying about, thinking what do I do? And that’s the thing isn’t it? It’s very daunting of how tiny they are when they first arrive."

http://s7.uploads.ru/t/6XkLw.jpg
William also discussed learning to change diapers with men attending the group.
He explained,

"They are so fragile and everything's so tiny, their little fingers and toes, you do feel like if you move them around too much they’re going to break almost but they don’t!"

http://s7.uploads.ru/t/y7Fnu.jpg
His wife, Kate Middleton, also opened up about the challenges of parenthood, while visiting a Mental Health in Education conference this week. Via People, the Duchess of Cambridge revealed, "I was very naive myself as a parent of really just how important particularly the early years are for children’s futures." Now, the duchess works with several organisations that support the early years development of children and young people.

Kate Middleton and Prince William Are Off Royal Duty This Week for a Relatable Reason

The couple are taking a break from public engagements this week for a very special reason – to spend some quality time with their three children, as the schools of both Prince George, 5, and Princess Charlotte, 3, are closed for half-term break. And of course, 9-month-old Prince Louis will get to spend some more time with his older siblings!

There’s no word yet on how the family of five will be spending their week off. Kate, William and their children may leave London’s Kensington Palace for Anmer Hall in Norfolk. They often escape to their country home – and it’s even where they chose to pose together for their super casual 2018 Christmas card photo.

Kate, 37, and William, 36, are experienced on the slopes and may opt to take their kids on a ski vacation. Around this time in 2016, the couple released adorable photos from a winter getaway to the French Alps, featuring the then-family of four bundled up in puffy jackets as the snow fell. Perhaps George and Charlotte are now old enough to hit the bunny slope themselves!

http://s5.uploads.ru/t/HDhr4.jpg
Prince George is currently learning math, history and even ballet in his year one classroom at Thomas’s Battersea,
while Princess Charlotte is in her final year at Willcocks Nursery.

While Kate was painting bird boxes and making pizzas to be baked in an outdoor oven during her visit to the King Henry’s Walk Garden in the London borough of Islington last month, her two eldest kids were busy at school.

As schoolchildren asked the royal mom a variety of questions as they spread sauce over dough, including if Queen Elizabeth ate pizza, 8-year-old Patrick said he’d like to meet Kate and Prince William‘s children.

“They would love to come and do this with you. They will be very sad that I’ve been out here making pizzas with all of you and they haven’t been here,” Kate told him. “They are in school.”

She even gave a hint to what Prince George has recently been doing in the classroom.

“He’s learning about space. Have you all learnt about space?” she asked.

Prince William Used to Have a Hobby that "Frightened the Life Out of" Queen Elizabeth

From Marie Claire

Prince William used to have a favorite hobby that the Queen didn't totally approve of.
Will loves motorcycles and says he's had a "passion for motorbikes" since he was "very small." The royal said that part of the appeal of the hobby was the anonymity that came with riding around with his face obscured by his helmet.
Apparently, however, Queen Elizabeth was never a fan of Will's hobby. A royal photographer revealed that Will's habit of riding a motorbike "frightened the life out of" his grandmother.

The Queen has a lot of say over what the other members of the royal family can do with their lives-including, in some cases, who they can marry. Even the Queen can't control everything though, and apparently that includes royal hobbies. Prince William, in particular, used to have a favorite hobby that Queen Elizabeth was decidedly not a fan of.

That hobby? Riding motorcycles. According to Express, Will has gushed about his love for bikes, saying:

"I don't know what it is about bikes, but I've always had a passion for motorbikes ever since I was very small. I used to do a lot of go-karting when I was younger and then after that I went on to quadbikes and eventually motorbikes.

http://sg.uploads.ru/t/lDLUQ.jpg
He continued:

It does help being anonymous with my motorcycle helmet on because it does enable me to relax. But I just enjoy everything about motorbikes and the camaraderie that comes with it."

http://s9.uploads.ru/t/o9EKi.jpg
According to royal photographer James Whitaker, however, Queen Elizabeth didn't like Will's favorite hobby.

"I think it frightens the life out of people at Buckingham Palace and almost certainly, the Queen too. It is a strange thing," he said. "His mother was constantly fleeing from the paparazzi, who were on motorbikes. Now her son is using a motorbike for the same sort of reasons."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have arrived in Morocco.

The royal couple just touched down at the Casablanca Airport for their three day tour of the country. The royal couple was asked to make the trip by the British government, and a Kensington Palace spokesperson told People that Harry and Meghan's visit is centered around two main causes.

"It will build on the close relationship between the U.K. and Morocco," the spokesperson said. "The Duke and Duchess are looking forward to the visit which will highlight the vital roles that girls’ education and youth empowerment are playing in, and shaping, modern Morocco."

Meghan Markle Looks Radiant in Cape Dress as She and Prince Harry Attend a Dinner in Morocco

Meghan Markle is continuing to dazzle fans with her incredible maternity style.

The Duchess of Sussex attended a reception hosted by the British Ambassador to Morocco on Sunday -- the second day of her tour of Morocco alongside her husband, Prince Harry -- where she met with influential Moroccan women, young entrepreneurs and disabled athletes among others. A beaming Meghan definitely had that pregnancy glow, looking amazing in a cream-colored cape dress by Dior. Meghan let her designer dress shine and kept her accessories simple, wearing only earrings and carrying a matching clutch.

On Saturday, Meghan rocked another cape dress when she touched down at the airport in Casablanca, this one a red Valentino number which she paired with nude heels. Meghan and Harry's visit to Morocco is their last royal tour before welcoming their first child together.

Meghan recently celebrated a baby shower thrown by her good friend, Serena Williams, in New York City, that was attended by Amal Clooney, her Suits co-star, Abigail Spencer, Gayle King and more.

"She's very kind, she's very generous, a really, really sweet person," King said of Meghan on CBS This Morning last week. "So I think her friends just wanted to celebrate her... It was a very, very small, private, affair and just a very special time for her. Because having a baby is a great joy. Let's not lose sight of that."

Kate Middleton stepped out to attend a gala hosted by the National Portrait Gallery in London today.
She wore a floral gown by Alexander McQueen.

She wore the design tot he 2017 BAFTAs, but has appeared to altered the off-the-shoulder sleeves into cap sleeves since then.

The Duchess of Cambridge's patronage of the gallery was first announced in January 2012. Her first official portrait, made in 2012, is also on display there. It was painted by painter Paul Emsley, who said, "The Duchess explained that she would like to be portrayed naturally-her natural self-as opposed to her official self," according to the gallery.

Kate, who studied art history in college, is known to be an art aficionado.
She's an avid photographer (she takes the official royal portraits of her children) and the first royal patron of the Victoria & Albert Museum, which was announced last March. In October, she helped launch a Photography Center at the V&A.

Queen Elizabeth II Denies Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's Independence Bid & it's Huge

http://www.spletnik.ru/img/2019/03/olya/20191903-meg-3.jpg
Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (née Markle),
made a bid for independence for their own royal work recently — a bid that Queen Elizabeth II and her son Prince Charles have denied. Yikes. Why did they deny it? And why is this such big news? Let’s break it down.

The Sunday Times reported that Harry and Meghan have visions of building a global “Sussex brand” of philanthropy. Because of this, allegedly, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex lobbied for their very own court. That is a pretty big move, especially since it implies Harry and Meghan want to expand beyond their roles in the royal family.

“They wanted their household to be entirely independent of Buckingham Palace, but were told ‘no,'” a royal insider claimed to the newspaper. “There is an institutional structure that doesn’t allow that kind of independence. The feeling is that it’s good to have the Sussexes under the jurisdiction of Buckingham Palace, so they can’t just go off and do their own thing.”

The Sunday Times also reported that the Meghan is determined to continue serving as an “activist” — a vision that the queen seemed to acknowledge on International Women’s Day when she appointed Meghan as Vice President of The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust.

So why is it a big deal that the queen and Charles gave a resounding “no” to Harry and Meghan’s independence bid? Buckingham Palace represents the Queen. Kensington Palace represents Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, as well as — at least for now — Harry and Meghan. For Harry and Meghan to want to break away from Kensington Palace as their representation is another sign the couple wants to establish their own identity — which is a pretty modern move considering the royal family all but operates as one unified front. Neither palace has commented on the Times report.

So far, we’ve been unable to get any information about Harry and Meghan’s reaction to the major veto from the queen to take their independence any further. This unexpected bid for a separate, Sussex court comes just a week after the queen approved a new household, Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, England. Frogmore Cottage, at Windsor Castle, is reportedly now fully renovated and newly occupied by Harry and Meghan — who are expecting their first child in late April or early May.

The royal statement on the new home at Frogmore explained that Queen Elizabeth had “agreed to the creation of a new household for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, following their marriage in May last year. The household, which will be created with the support of The Queen and the Prince of Wales, will be established in the spring.”

This bold push by Harry and Meghan for even greater independence is an intriguing — and admittedly juicy — twist in the tale of reported growing tensions between Prince Charles’ and the late Princess Diana’s sons and their respective wives. We’ll keep a close eye on this to see what happens next.

Julia Roberts Says Admissions Scandal Is 'Sad' and She Wants a 'Very Normal Experience' for Her Children

Roberts opened up about the high-profile college admissions drama and what it implies about the parents' lack of faith in their kids.

Julia Roberts is sharing her thoughts about the high-profile college admissions scandal that's been rocking the country over the past week.

The 51-year-old Oscar winner was recently in the U.K. promoting her latest family drama, Ben Is Back, and she opened up to ITV about the scandal, which has resulted in 50 people being charged, including Hollywood stars Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin.

"That to me is so sad, because I feel, [as] an outsider, that it says a little bit, 'I don’t have enough faith in you,'" said Roberts, who is the mother of 14-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and 11-year-old Henry with her husband, Danny Moder.

"My husband and I are very aligned on that front, I think that we live a very normal experience with our children," Roberts said, regarding her and Moder's efforts to make sure their children stay grounded, despite the spotlight of their parents' fame. "Obviously we have advantages that we didn’t have as children. But I think that’s the unique part of it, coming from the childhood that I have. You do need to know how to make your bed and do your laundry and make one meal. These are important life skills."

"They have to run their own race," she added. "They have to have their own experience."

In Ben Is Back, which hit theaters in the U.S. last December and is currently available on DVD and streaming On Demand, Roberts stars as Holly, the mother of troubled, drug-addicted 19-year-old Ben (Lucas Hedges). Holly is surprised and overjoyed when Ben, who has been in rehab for months, returns home unexpectedly on Christmas Eve. However, his presence makes the family feel wary and secrets in Ben's life test the bonds of love and loyalty, and Holly struggles to keep her son safe and healthy in the face of addiction and its consequences.

For Roberts, the story of the college admissions scandal seems like the antithesis of her role in the emotional drama.

"I feel that in [Ben Is Back], this mother is trying to say, 'I have so much faith in you, I have both our faiths until you can find the faith in yourself again.'"

In the high-profile admissions scandal, Huffman and Loughlin were among 48 other individuals who allegedly paid money to fraudulently secure their children's admissions into elite universities across the country.

The fallout from the scandal continues to unfold and has gravely impacted both stars' lives personally, professionally and legally. For more on the ongoing legal drama, check out the video below.

CHICAGO (AP) — A woman who's been dubbed a serial stowaway was sentenced Tuesday to 18 months of probation after pleading guilty to sneaking past Chicago airport security last year, boarding a plane and flying to London without a ticket.

As part of her plea deal, Marilyn Hartman, 67, can't go to Chicago's O'Hare or Midway airports without a ticket. She entered the plea to a criminal trespassing charge but had originally faced counts of felony theft, burglary and other charges.

"I do apologize for the airport and ... causing problems for them," Hartman told Cook County Judge Peggy Chiampas.

The plea is the latest chapter in a story that's played ou t over the past decade in Chicago, Hawaii, San Francisco, Florida and elsewhere. Hartman has been nabbed in and near airports dozens of times and made it onto planes maybe a half-dozen times.

Authorities have said she boarded the flight to London by walking past two British Airlines ticket agents who were checking other passengers. Hartman darted into a small room off to the side and walked quickly past customs and a Border Patrol agent who was looking at passports of people entering the ramp.

Hartman was arrested after her London trip and free on bond in January 2018 when she was again discovered wandering at O'Hare. This time, a judge ordered her held without bond and she was later found unfit for trial. Hartman spent time at a state mental institution and in July she was moved to a halfway-house style mental health center in Chicago called A Safe Haven.

The judge Tuesday praised Hartman for receiving a glowing progress report from the center's staff.

"A Safe Haven has been your safe haven, and I am really proud of the progress you have made," Chiampas told Hartman.

The facility has agreed to help Hartman find permanent housing.

Nebraska underwater: 74 cities, 65 counties declare emergencies as flooding envelops state

Seventy-four cities, 65 counties and four tribal areas in Nebraska declared states of emergency Tuesday as swaths of the Midwest battled rivers swollen by days of heavy rains and spring snowmelt.

Three deaths have been blamed on the flooding in Nebraska. As of Tuesday afternoon, more than 7 million people in 14 states live where a flood warning was still in effect, the National Weather Service said.

In Nebraska alone, the farm and ranch losses because of floods could reach $1 billion, the state's farm bureau said.

Vice President Mike Pence  surveyed damage in Nebraska on Tuesday, talking to first responders and visiting a temporary shelter. He promised expedited action on presidential disaster declarations for Nebraska and Iowa.

“We’re going to make sure that federal resources are there for you,” Pence told volunteers at Waterloo, a town of less than 1,000 residents about 20 miles west of Omaha that was virtually cut off by the floodwaters.

About 200 miles of levees were compromised in Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri and Kansas, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said. Thousands of people have been driven from their homes by the fast-rising waters.

Flooding is expected to continue throughout the week in several states as high water flows down the Missouri River.

In North Dakota, Fargo Mayor Tim Mahoney declared a state of emergency despite what he described as tremendous strides in permanent flood protection in recent years.

“This is a very serious flood forecast, and we will meet it with a serious response," he said. "It is critically important for everyone to know that we will need the public’s assistance. We cannot be complacent."

In Illinois, Freeport City Manager Lowell Crow said the town of 25,000 residents west of Rockford could see an all-time record flood along the Pecatonica River, which was at its highest level since 1933 on Tuesday. City officials braced for flooding in the downtown area, he said.

In Missouri, 130 people were urged to leave their Atchison County homes near strained levees, three of which had been overtopped by water. Missouri State Highway Patrol crews were on standby for rescues.

“The next four to five days are going to be pretty rough,” said Rhonda Wiley, the county emergency management and 911 director.

The Missouri River was expected to crest Thursday in St. Joseph, Missouri, at its third-highest level on record, the National Weather Service said. Military C-130 planes have been evacuated from nearby Rosecrans Air National Guard Base.

In Iowa, water stood 10 feet high near Pacific Junction, where only the top halves of gas stations, homes and storage units were visible. Mills County Emergency Management Director Larry Hurst said the flooding might be worse than some of the most extreme historical events – in 1952, 1993 and 2011.

"This is actually different even than the flood of '52," he said. "There's water on this entire basin."

Touring the damage, Reynolds said the flooding was unlike anything she had seen before as the state's top elected official.

“It looked like an ocean,” she said.

Water gushed through a levee break near the Plattsmouth Toll Bridge, where the Platte and Missouri Rivers converge. The mystery, Hurst said, is how long it will take for the water to recede.

"To tell you the truth, I don't know," he said. "I don't think anybody knows."

Glenwood Mayor Ron Kohn said his city of 5,000 was in pretty good shape, but to the west, where the aging levee broke under rapidly rising waters last week, farms were swamped.

"That's all going to be gone until next year," Kohn said. "Rice is about all they could grow out there now."

Reynolds said 41 Iowa counties have requested and been approved for help through the governor's disaster proclamation last week. President Donald Trump tweeted his support for Reynolds and authorities who were fighting the floods.

In Nebraska, the National Guard said its members joined with the State Patrol to escort a caravan of semis and fuel tankers packed with food and supplies from Omaha to Fremont. The Department of Transportation cleared the way by "plowing over 5 inches of mud outside of Fremont," the National Guard said on Twitter. Nearly 70 percent of the state is under a disaster declaration.
